MDE is recruiting for a Construction Manager on behalf of a leading renewable energy developer. This company is dedicated to delivering large-scale solar and battery storage projects, with a focus on driving the UK’s transition to clean energy. This is an opportunity to play a key role in project execution and on-site management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the successful delivery of solar and battery storage projects. You will be responsible for leading on-site operations, managing subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.

What will you be doing?

• Develop and implement the Construction Phase Plan, working closely with subcontractors to outline project timelines and milestones.
• Manage site operations, including groundwork, electrical installations, module mounting, and final commissioning.
• Oversee subcontractor teams, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to health & safety protocols.
• Act as Principal Contractor, ensuring full compliance with CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations and UK health & safety laws.
• Lead site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings, ensuring a strong safety culture.
• Monitor project progress, tracking cost, risk, and quality to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Ensure all work meets Employer Requirements and industry best practices.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, working closely with project teams, suppliers, and external contractors.

✅ Experience coordinating multiple contractors and managing project budgets.
