Construction Manager (Freight Rail)

We are seeking a rail construction project manager for our construction services group. At minimum, the construction manager should have 5 years of freight rail construction management experience and be qualified to efficiently perform complex project management duties. The construction manager's scope of services includes but is not limited to:
- Field Verification of Supplies and Services - Full Time field verification of all Contractor provided materials & labor, and that subcontracting services provided are in conformance with the Contract Documents.
- Assessment of Work Status - The assigned construction manager shall track project schedule and budget status to include:
- Tracking project schedule compliance.
- Identification of critical milestones and work activities.
- Monitoring of contractor performance for compliance with the schedule, with discussion of variances taking place during weekly progress meetings.
- Tracking the project budget for compliance to approved baseline(s).
- Project Administration - The assigned construction manager shall conduct weekly progress/coordination meetings with the Contractor and prepare/distribute meeting minutes. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
- Verification and tracking of project safety documentation
- Verification of railroad training and security requirements
- Maintaining of project files
- Preparation and distribution of weekly project status reports
- Submittal and RFI Review
- Project coordination of various project stakeholders
- Quality Assurance Testing
- Review of contractor and vendor compliance with quality control activities and reaquired documentation
- Perform the necessary coordination to facilitate QA testing activities
This is a full-time position with the potential for work to be performed during off-peak hours depending on the needs of the project. Salary for this position is DOE.
