Salary - Upto 4.8 Lac Experience - Min. 4+ yrs in residential construction project Location - Bangalore Job Description An MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer is a critical player in residential construction projects, responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of MEP systems within a building MEP System Design and Planning: Design efficient and cost-effective mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems tailored for residential buildings, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), lighting, power, water supply, and drainage systems. Prepare detailed layouts and specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Coordination and Integration: Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to integrate MEP systems within the overall building design. Perform coordination to avoid clashes between MEP systems and structural or architectural components, ensuring efficient use of space and resources. Project Documentation and Approvals: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for MEP designs, including detailed drawings, calculations, and technical specifications. Work with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for MEP systems, ensuring compliance with local and national codes. Site Supervision and Quality Control: Conduct site visits to oversee MEP installations, ensuring that work is executed according to design specifications and project timelines. Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship, troubleshooting issues on-site, and providing technical guidance to the construction team as needed. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates for MEP systems, working within the projects budget to optimize material and labor costs without compromising quality. Recommend energy-efficient solutions and sustainable materials to reduce operating costs and environmental impact. Testing and Commissioning: Plan and oversee the testing and commissioning of all MEP systems to verify their functionality, safety, and compliance with design standards. Conduct performance assessments to ensure that HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems operate efficiently and meet the occupants requirements. Maintenance and Operations Support: Provide guidance on the maintenance and operation of MEP systems to facility managers or end-users. Prepare manuals and maintenance schedules to ensure the long-term reliability and efficiency of the MEP systems.
