Kustom US is seeking a Project Analyst to add to our growing team in the new year. The Project Analyst is responsible for supporting multiple divisions in various aspects of project planning, monitoring, and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of project management principles, and the ability to provide valuable insights to optimize project performance. This role also includes mentoring, training, and supporting a team of Project Coordinators and Claims Coordinators, overseeing their effectiveness in an indirect (dotted line) manner.

What you will do:

  • Partner with operations teams to proactively ensure Kustom’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
  • Support, mentor, and train a team of Project Coordinators and Claims Coordinators, overseeing their effectiveness in an indirect (dotted line) manner.
  • Work closely with assigned divisions on all facets of business administration, from call to cash.
  • Project Analyst will need a solid understanding of Construction cost accounting, budgets, gross profit margins and analyzing project data to course correct production of jobs at risk.
  • Ensure proper month-end cost accruals.
  • Review and approve invoices in TimberScan, ensuring data entry accuracy.
  • Monitor project cash positions and margin performance
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective measures for low-margin and underbilled projects.
  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting of all receivable components, including application of cash receipts, adjustments, and refunds.
  • Manage lien requirements, preparation of files for collections, and small claims as needed.
  • Provide final approval of office weekly payroll, ensuring that all components have been properly job costed.
  • Own the collection of receivables aged beyond 90 days
  • Manage the Work-In-Progress (WIP) process and provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Monitor and track the cash position of each project which includes collections, billings, cash receipts, adjustment, refunds and write offs. Understanding of percent of completion accounting a plus


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree - Accounting or commensurate functional field experience required.
  • 4+ years of financial/administrative support in fast-paced construction/insurance/restoration
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts, including accruals and cost accounting.
  • Experience with lien waivers and job cost analysis is highly .
  • Proficiency in advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite
  • Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments based upon company needs and manage time to complete those assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to recognize financial implications of business decisions and strategy.
  • Experience with Sage 100/300 or Sage Intact Accounting software
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite
