The successful candidate for Construction Project Controls Engineer will have 2-5 years' experience in construction Project Controls and documentation, Federal or State construction experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management is required. Position may be on-site or hybrid, depending on project requirements. MAJOR DUTIES include but are not limited to:
- Implement and maintain RFIs (Request for Information) and Submittal Tracking Logs. Provide daily, weekly and/or monthly reporting.
- Maintenance and updating of construction project management information system (PMIS) database of documentation generated by contractors and responses issued by Project Owner and its consultants and reviewers.
- Receive submittals, drawings, RFIs, change orders, correspondence and supplemental agreements from contractors and submit them for review/approval to the pertinent Owner staff, reviewers, and consultants.
- Evaluate and quantitatively analyze all submissions for completeness and timeliness and notify the appropriate party/parties of errors or situations requiring resolution.
- Initiate and prepare routine correspondence and transmittals to ensure completeness and correctness for format, spelling and grammar in compliance with pertinent procedures and regulation and distributes correspondence among team members.
- Schedules meetings with contractors and project team to discuss and review projects progress, discuss problems, and resolve issues as necessary. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Assist in preparation of monthly executive briefing reports, weekly progress reports and special reports as required by the project owners.
- Assist in ensuring all documents required for project close-out are submitted by the Construction Contractor at the conclusion of each construction project
- Process security badge requests for consultants and contractors associated with the program. Maintain tracking log of all badge requests, renewals, lost or stolen badges and replacement badges
