The Construction Project Engineer will assist in managing all aspects of multifamily construction projects, ensuring successful execution from pre-construction through project completion. This role involves working closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery, quality control, and adherence to timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating multifamily construction projects from start to finish.

  • Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Work alongside the project manager to track project budgets, change orders, and cost control measures.

  • Facilitate communication between subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.

  • Support the procurement process by obtaining bids, reviewing contracts, and managing material orders.

  • Conduct site visits and assist with quality control, safety compliance, and inspections.

  • Track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.

  • Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting issues that arise during construction.

  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.

  • Provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2+ years of experience in construction project engineering, preferably in multifamily residential projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices.

  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project).

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and building codes.

  • Strong teamwork skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
