Construction Project Manager

Heavy Highway & Civil Construction Company is seeking Construction Project Managers to manage multiple construction projects.
Required:
- 6+ years of experience managing projects in heavy civil with full site construction packages (grading, paving, utilities, concrete, subcontractors, etc.)
- Advanced Skills with MS office suite-Word, Excel, Outlook, HCSS Heavy Bid/Job.
- Advanced plan reading skills and ability to understand plans and specifications.
- Experience in cost tracking, subcontracting, contract negotiation, purchase orders, and billing.
- Candidates must be problem solvers, well organized and excellent communicators.

- Be a forward-thinking individual that stays a step ahead of the work being performed and knows where the project is going next while prioritizing your time and being self-motivated.
- Work with and maintain positive working relationship with all external customers to include (Sub-contractors, vendors, general contractors, developers, local inspectors, city officials, utility companies, owners’ representatives, etc.)
- Attend weekly PM meetings and provide deliverables (i.e. Schedules/project updates)
- Maintain project schedules from start to finish
- Once projects are awarded, attend all pre construction meetings
- Coordinate all project aspects with field operations
- Deliver and maintain all submittals per project guidelines
- Manage the budget vs build budget and timelines
- Work with the project estimators to ensure any change orders that are needed for the project are priced
- Maintain correct monthly billings per items completed on projects
- Maintain the correct working plans for the project and keep the field crews up to date of changes
- Make sure that all close out items for the projects have been delivered per specs
- Other tasks and duties may be assigned as needed
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
