Uhrig Construction is seeking a Project Manager with 5+ years commercial construction experience to join our team. Must be willing to project manage commercial work. Excellent organization and communication skills. We are a growing company and we offer a competitive salary and excellent benefit package. Work hours are M-Th 7am - 4:30pm and F 7am - 4pm. Position Summary: Responsible for the successful of revenue to ensure the profitability of the company

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall field performance of each job to ensure customer satisfaction. Proactively, inspect the premises for any possible oversights or imperfections.

  • Provide communication with customers of Uhrig Construction from the point of job approval to completion managing all aspects of project thru job close out.

  • Participate in project turnover with Sr. Manager reviewing contents for completeness and accuracy, identifying any long lead items, and reviewing any phasing, project duration, testing/inspection requirements and safety requirements. Provide job information to the Job Superintendent/Construction Foreperson.

  • Prepare, review, and monitor job tracking reports and the cost effectiveness of the jobs. Ensure jobs are profitable by bringing jobs in on time and under budget.

  • Schedule job start dates and assign personnel, including subcontractors, to jobs with the assistance of the Job Superintendent/Construction Foreperson to maximize project effectiveness. Work with Project Assistant to obtain all submittals. Perform all buyout of subcontractors and materials. Responsible for all subcontracts and purchase orders.

  • Participate in any required pre-construction or job meetings and attend off-site job meetings or job sites when necessary to ensure company’s position is represented. Document all issues concerning the scheduling, performance, and timely completion of project.

  • Work with Field Manager to schedule employees and/or subcontractors for jobs to maximize project effectiveness.

  • Invoice customers on any necessary progress billings and final billings upon completion of the job with accounting department. Invoices to accurately reflect retainage, deposits, AIA, etc.

  • Provide support to customers throughout job. Handle any customer complaints to maintain customer satisfaction.

  • Supervise and coach Forepersons, Carpenters, and Laborers. This includes performance reviews and verification and authorization of timecards.

  • Monitor environment for sales leads and pursue new customer relationships.

  • Develop and maintain relationship with subcontractors

  • Maintain and encourage company image at all times.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
