MacGregor Black is partnering with a Leading Retailer on the search for Construction Project Manager. This is a perm role based in London.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage multiple projects – create a brief, develop a pre-construction plan to co-ordinate the activities of the consultant team and contractor you appoint.
  • Set project objectives, regularly review progress to ensure they achieve performance requirements and milestones to achieve the target for start on site.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to minimise costs, ensuring the optimum design of both internal and external factors.
  • Ensure the highest standard – adhering to business procurement policies and procedures you will engage and appoint a wide range of contractors and consultants in a fair way that maximises value for money. You will ensure all processes adhere to internal and external audit and legislation.
  • Provide effective leadership and indirect line management to ensure that members of the team are appropriately supported, trained and motivated to carry out their responsibilities to the highest standards.
  • Selecting, appointing and coordinating the performance of a range of external professional consultants and contractors to ensure the delivery of the business plan.


What are we looking for?


  • Significant experience of project managing new build housing through site acquisition and planning.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects meeting cost, time and budget targets.
  • Proven ability of simultaneously coordinating and managing the performance of several multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Knowledge of construction and Commercial/Residential building issues.
  • Experience of developing and managing budgets and forecasting expenditure.
  • Experience of commissioning work and setting standards for suppliers.
  • Full Driving License / Access to a car for business use.
  • Degree in construction or project management - Desirable.
