Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Construction Project Manager opening for our client in Anchorage, AK.

Location: Anchorage, AK
Duration: 6 months

Duties:

  • Lead the construction project to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop, manage, and track project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Oversee contractor and subcontractor selection, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, architects, engineers, and utility planners to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and address any construction-related challenges.
  • Manage risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during construction.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably within the utility sector.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Experience with utility infrastructure and facilities construction is .
  • Knowledge of environmental permitting and sustainability practices is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP or CCM certification is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
