The Role:
We’re a committed team of over 400 employees based in Nassau County, Long Island led by a knowledgeable and caring group of managers. We like to solve problems and service our customers collaboratively to ensure we deliver the excellence for which we are known. The Construction Fire Protection Project Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of fire protection projects, including field supervision, manpower coordination, and administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, change order management, and billing. The ideal candidate must have substantial experience in fire protection project management and be well versed in NFPA 13 and NFPA 14 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Field and Manpower Supervision

Oversee all onsite activities and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.

Coordinate and supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and trades to ensure efficient project execution.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
Project Management

Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases.
Prepare and maintain project budgets, tracking expenses and managing cost control. -
Handle change order management, including documentation, pricing, and negotiation with clients and subcontractors.

Manage billing processes, including preparing and submitting invoices, and following up on payments.
Compliance and Standards:

Ensure all fire protection systems are designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with NFPA 13 and NFPA 14 standards.

Stay current with industry regulations, codes, and best practices to ensure all projects meet the latest fire protection requirements.
Communication and Documentation

Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates, budget status, and any issues or delays.

Document all project activities, including meeting minutes, site visits, and inspections.
Qualifications:

Minimum of [5] years of experience in construction project management, specifically in fire protection systems.

Bachelor’s degree in related field is .

In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 14 standards.

Relevant certifications in fire protection or project management are a plus. Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage field personnel and subcontractors effectively.

Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
