Status: Full-time employee or independent contractor
Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial construction remodel/repair
Education Level: Degree
Compensation: Salary commensurate with knowledge and experience and job duties ($90k-$120k)

Group is a privately owned commercial construction firm that specializes in property cabinets, construction maintenance, equipment rentals, reconstruction, restoration, roofing, and consulting to clients who need various services. Offices are in both Miami and Fort Lauderdale. The company is a commercial general contractor focused on construction rebuild and maintenance projects. Projects range in size from $50,000 to $10,000,000+ with a strong emphasis on the South Florida market.
The company is searching for an experienced Project Manager with at least 10 years of experience managing commercial remodel/repair projects including undefined scopes of work, obtaining bids from subcontractors and vendors, negotiating subcontracts, job scheduling, detailed billing for labor, equipment, and materials, etc. Experience in commercial reconstruction, restoration, knowledge of estimating and ability to read and understand plans, specifications, subcontracts, codes, and safety regulations is a plus. Bilingual is highly desired.
Job Description:
Responsibilities
· In-depth knowledge of the commercial remodeling/repair industry and commercial restoration process.
· Ability to multi-task, run large projects, run crews and subcontractors, and work under deadlines.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to team and upper management.
· Excellent mathematical aptitude.
· Excellent scheduling aptitude with estimating experience .
· Very strong organizational skills.
Skills:
· Complete understanding of the construction remodel industry
· Computer knowledge and efficiency, including all Microsoft Office products
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Ability to multitask and work in a diligent and rapid manner
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field required
· Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience acceptable
· Ten (10) years of experience in commercial construction remodeling
· Knowledge of all types of commercial construction remodel/repairs methods
· Thorough knowledge of construction remodeling techniques, engineering disciplines, and cost controls
· Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
· Demonstrated problem solving skills by using persistence and ability to overcome obstacles
· Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems
