Our Construction Management team is currently seeking a certified safety professional to oversee safety for various MTA C&D projects. This position will be working on 1 or more transit projects in the New York City Metro Area. Responsibilities Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance with contract specifications, APP & SWPs and MTA C&D Policies and Procedures.Conduct safety audits of projects and generate reports with findings and photos.Review and provide comments on project specific health and safety plans, Safe Work Plans / JHAs and other safety submittals.Mentor construction and CCM staff on safety-related matters.Investigate safety related incidents and occurrences and review contractor’s incident reports.Maintain liaison with MTA C&D Safety Staff and Contractor’s Safety Staff.Develop and provide safety-related trainings to TY Lin staff.Participate in progress meetings, safety meetings and safety walkthroughs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering or related field with 5+ years’ experience in construction safety.Experience working with MTA C&D, preferably CCM safety experience.Good knowledge of MTA C&D safety processes and procedures.Team player – Demonstrate solid presentation, verbal, written and communication skills.Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.Good organization skills, ability to multi-task and be a team player.Ability to stand for long periods, walk on uneven surfaces and climb ladders and/or scaffolds.Flexibility to work nights and weekends when occasionally needed.Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED:OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course within last 5 years (OSHA 500, desirable)Site Safety Manager CourseNYCT Track Safety TrainingCSP, CHST or other safety certifications highly desirableScaffold Training, Confined Space, Lead awareness, and Asbestos awareness are desirableTYLin is an equal opportunity employer and we prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type as protected by federal, state, or local laws.
