We have an integrated and scalable range of services which help our clients achieve their goals on projects of varying scope, budget, schedule, and complexity.Job Description: As a Scheduler, you will report to the Construction Manager. You will be responsible for reviewing the schedules, monthly reports, and Time Impact Analysis (TIAs) submitted by the contractor. You will assess the risk and advise the Port staff. You will also assist the project team by providing scheduling training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate baseline schedules submitted by General Contractors (GCs).
- Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
- Analyze and evaluate contemporary (monthly) schedules submitted by GCs.
- Assess the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
- Analyze and evaluate as-built schedules against an established baseline schedule.
- Accumulate and access historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
- Analyze contractor’s recovery schedule and provide written documentation of findings and recommendations.
- Provide written report of schedule status to appropriate Port Construction Manager.
- Jobsite visits to gain knowledge of the project site conditions related to the project schedule and work being performed.
- Attend meetings to discuss contractor schedule, findings and recommendations.
- Evaluate contractor’s Time Impact Analysis for schedule delays and provide written documentation of findings and recommendations.
- Provide advice and consultation to Port staff related to construction scheduling issues, matters and best practices.
- Provide advanced scheduling training to staff.
Deliverables
Specific deliverables may include but are not limited to:
- Baseline schedules
- Charts
- Construction changes and documentation of findings, and
- Other construction records when requested by the Port Construction Manager.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in scheduling and planning.
- Experience in Construction Management or related field.
- Experience with cost management systems, cost analysis, forecasting, and change management.
- Experience with risk logs
Qualifications:
- Certifications (one or more): CST, CCT, CMIT, CDT, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, PMP, CCM, EIT, or PE a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- MS Office Suite and MS Project.
- High level of proficiency with Primavera (P6) required.
