This is an estimated 6 months+ contract position.Job Duties:
- Oversee on-site construction activities and ensure the work is complete and on-schedule.
- Ensure compliance with project designs, blueprints, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with Project Managers (PMs), contractors, crane lift operators and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work meets standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure materials used are of the right quality and meet specifications.
- Act as a liaison between the project manager, construction workers, and stakeholders.
- Keep daily records of progress, delays, and any issues encountered.
- Ensure smooth communication between all teams, especially during night/weekend shifts.
- Ensure all safety protocols and project guidelines are followed.
- Enforce health and safety regulations on-site.
- Ensure proper safety equipment is used (especially for roofing and crane operations).
- Address hazards and mitigating risks to avoid accidents.
- Assist with technical calculations, site surveys, and blueprints.
- Supervise crane lifts and heavy equipment operations when necessary.
- Identify structural or environmental challenges and suggest solutions.
- Address any immediate construction challenges that arise.
Qualifications:
- Construction background with experience in site engineering.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a small team with minimal support.
- Ability to oversee crane lifts and related equipment operations.
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial roofing projects is a plus.
