Our construction company is seeking an experienced construction professional with excellent leadership skills. If you're good at managing employees, hiring subcontractors, managing job sites, communicating and maintaining safety and compliance at a construction site, then you might be perfect as our next construction superintendent. Our ideal candidate has 10 years of construction field experience who can supervise, train and direct all site activities and maintain safety compliance at all times.
Compensation:
$82,000
Responsibilities:
- Discuss the project's costs with clients and make sure the project stays within budget
- Review subcontractor output concerning schedules and success targets to ensure that the project is on track to be completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards required
- Submit a plan for homeowners that includes a cost estimate for the job
- Hire subcontractors and verify that they have all the required permits
- Certify that each building project delivers a high-quality end product, oversee construction staff, and perform on-site assessments daily
- Log daily records of progress and repair updates for the project manager and homeowner
- Schedule crews and ensure accuracy
- Make weekly schedules
- Order materials
Qualifications:
- Possesses a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods
- A high school diploma is required, bachelor’s degree
- Stamina for operating heavy equipment and lifting 40 pounds or more
- Excellent leadership, time-management, organizational, and communication skills
- Must have general contractor license
