Construction Superintendent

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Work closely with the Chief Superintendent and Project Manager overseeing projects Oversee crews and manage job-wide day to day activities
• Ensure crews are adhering to contract plans and specifications
• Help develop and execute support of excavation plans, bypass plans, traffic management plans, etc.
• Submit daily field logs
• Obtain and update Dig Safe tickets and permits
• Lay out proposed work and maintain as-built records as needed
• Perform quantity takeoffs as needed and order all materials (pipe, fittings, gravel, stone, etc.) Review approved submittals and ensure proper materials are being delivered
• Attend progress meetings and review weekly/monthly quantities with owners’ representative Review equipment and shoring needs with foreman
• Schedule trucking needs, equipment, and fuel with internal managers and third-party vendors Schedule and oversee subcontractors, onsite vendors, and police details
• Review monthly schedule updates and provide one week look ahead details to Field Operations Manager or Project Manager
• Monitor staging areas and ensure proper maintenance (erosion control, dust control, soils, etc.)

Required Skills and Experience:

• At least 8-10 years of experience in Underground Utility Construction (Water/Sewer) Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Strong knowledge of MA utility construction codes and permits Highly developed organizational skills and ability to multi-task Very strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and positive work ethic Surveying experience
• Ability to read and follow construction plans and documents Adept computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with construction project management and document control software required Specific experience with B2W Track and ProCore a plus
• Work Location: On the road/Driver's license required
