About the Job:
Dean Snyder Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead and manage daily construction operations across various project sites. The ideal candidate will oversee crews, ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and an ability to solve on-site challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations on job sites and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Managing project schedules, subcontractors, and crews to ensure timely completion
- Coordinating with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to meet project goals
- Monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that may arise
- Conducting site inspections and ensuring that work meets specifications and quality standards
- Ensuring proper documentation of site activities, including safety logs, daily reports, and inspections
- Communicating effectively with team members and leadership to ensure project alignment and success
- Overseeing job site logistics, including materials, deliveries, and resources
- Proactively identifying and resolving challenges to keep projects on track
- Implementing and enforcing company policies and safety regulations
- Leading team meetings and providing guidance to crew members and subcontractors
What We Are Looking For:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is but not required
- Additional certifications in construction safety (OSHA 30), project management, or relevant areas are a plus
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing projects
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams and subcontractors
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks and handling the demands of construction projects
- Ability to work independently while being an effective part of a team
- Experience with large, multi-phase construction projects is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Capable of climbing ladders and scaffolding
- Comfortable with exposure to various weather conditions
- Able to bend, kneel, stoop, and perform physical tasks necessary for site inspections
