Land Surveyor Job Summary:

Our company is looking for a Land surveyor to join our team. In this role you coordinate with field crews and Project Managers to conduct boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys. You will also complete construction staking and / or site layout. After conducting surveys, you will prepare legal descriptions and assist with zoning and permitting applications. You will also assist with setting up and troubleshooting machine GPS control. You should be familiar, or be willing to become familiar, with Topcon equipment. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree and state licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor. Applicants should have 5 or more years of experience in the field.

Land Surveyor Duties and Responsibilities:

· Take measurements and determine property boundaries

· Perform topographic and as-built surveys

· Assist with construction staking and / or site layout surveys

· Coordinate with field crews

· Assist with zoning and permitting applications

· Set up and troubleshoot machine GPS control

· Provide technical expertise to other individuals in the company

Land Surveyor Requirements and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a closely related field

· State licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor

· Land Surveying or construction surveying experience

· Familiarity with PC based programs such as AutoCAD Civil 3D software

· Valid driver’s license

· Written and verbal communication skills

· Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, such as walking jobsites (uneven terrain), climbing, bending, and handling equipment and parts up to 50 pounds
