Container Transport Planner - Southampton - Up to £40,000\n\nOur client, who are a recognized transport company are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Southampton, UK.\n\nAs Transport Planner, you will be experienced in dealing with containers and routing company-owned vehicles UK-wide.\n\nJob type: Permanent\n\nHours: Monday to Friday (1 in 4 Saturdays)\n\nSalary: Up to £40,000\n\nThe Role:\n\nRouting company owned vehicles\nYou must Plan routes as cost effectively as possible\nPlan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours\nEnsure all customers are kept up to date\nAll necessary admin must be completed\nYou will be working with the Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards\nPerform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies' requirements.The Requirements:\n\nExtensive Transport route planning skills\nContainer is experience but a planning background with a transport company would be considered\nExcellent geographical knowledge\nStrong communication skillsWR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
