We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Conformance Specialist III to join our team in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This is a full-time contract position with a duration of 1 year, providing the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the renewable energy industry.
Role Overview
- Manage the day-to-day conformance responsibilities for all contractual arrangements of assigned capital and maintenance projects.
- Oversee the entire administration stages of contracts on projects.
- Ensure timely identification, communication, and resolution of contractual matters.
- Collaborate with various departments and third parties to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Report directly to the SCM BP Manager and have an indirect reporting relationship to the Business Owner.
- Lead contract negotiations with potential proponents during bidding and formation phases.
- Coordinate project team in developing a project-specific communication plan.
- Review documents submitted by contractors for compliance and notify them of any non-compliance or deviations.
- Manage change order process and prepare approved change orders.
- Establish and implement project contract document control and retention system.
- Coordinate contract close-out and compliance with related contracts.
- Prepare for and assist with company and external compliance audits.
- Provide ongoing communication and updates on project's contractual requirements, practices, and issues.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent human relations, influencing, and listening skills.
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with other departments.
- Familiarity with best management practices for contracting.
- Experience with Renewable Energy Projects (Wind, Solar, etc) and/or sourcing and administration of large ($100M+) Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Agreements considered a highly desirable asset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Oracle, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of contracting process and issues related to energy industry construction projects.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, construction, legal, technical or business discipline .
- Minimum 7 years of experience in legal, engineering, construction, or contract administration in the gas pipeline industry.
- Specific knowledge and experience in contracting process and issues related to energy industry construction projects.
