Contracts Manager

Russell Taylor Group are pleased to be working on behalf of their client based in Essex They have a vacant position for a Contracts Manager.



Monday to Friday 08.00am to 17.00pm

Salary pending experience from £50k to £65k



Minimum of 5 years’ experience contract management (required)

The company are a highly regarded construction company who specialise in construction. Sectors experienced in are Leisure, Public and Education.

The Contracts manager will oversee projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within its budget.

Projects range from Small, Medium, and Large



Typical work activities:

· site visits, meeting with clients on site to ascertain requirements

· creating and maintaining strong relationships with our clients and suppliers

· undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work

· preparing and analysing costings for quotations / tenders

· preparing quotation documents

· allocating work to subcontractors

· organising labour

· performing risk and value management and cost control

· following our procurement strategy

· identifying and analysing possible problems and developing responses to clients

· analysing outcomes and writing progress reports

· maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use

· implementing company procedures and H&S regulations

· producing risk assessments and method statements

· producing health & safety site plans

· producing programmes of works

· elements of Quantity Surveying

· all contract administration and compliance

· responsibility for all staff welfare on site

· health & safety, housekeeping, and toolbox talks
