Contracts Manager/Estimator

My client, a thriving construction business in Devon have been working with clients, Project Managers, Designers, and Landscape Architects for 15 years to deliver exemplar schemes and often against what many thought were impossible criteria.

Responsibilities:



Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Utilize time management skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Demonstrate leadership by effectively leading project teams to successful outcomes.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success.

Oversee project management activities to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Utilize IT tools, including Outlook, for effective communication and project tracking.

Produce quotes using our estimating software and working with quantity surveyors to ensure accuracy.Requirements



Proven experience in contract management and negotiation.



Must be dynamic and motivated and capable of networking with clients and designers to assist in generating new business.



Must be comfortable working under pressure.



Able to create and maintain a positive and pleasant work environment.



Ensure high levels of organisational effectiveness, communication, and productivity by working closely with Site managers.



Managing the implementation of the projects from the perspective of driving the quality and timely completion whilst maintaining strong management effectiveness and tight cost control.



Capable of pricing projects to be competitive as well as profitable and can liaise with suppliers for materials costs etc.



Delivery of the projects to the company's exemplary and demanding quality plans is essential.



The ability to produce monthly reports specific to the project requirements, manage the record keeping of progress on site and be responsible for the advance procurement of long lead materials and overseeing the delivery and implementation of the projects in line with the project reporting requirements.



Responsible for record keeping of materials, human resources, reporting on quality, deadlines, project performance and providing the directors with sufficient information with which to manage the ongoing performance of projects and assist with the running of their division.



Experienced with a variety of office software including e-mail tools, excel spread-sheets, MS Project or similar programming software, and be enthusiastic about learning new skills in a dynamic and creative working environment.



Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.



Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.



Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams towards achieving project goals.



Proficiency in using IT tools for project tracking and reporting.



Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
