Role Description:



My client is a multi-utilities contractor, and they are now seeking a Contracts Manager with a strong background in Gas operations and NEC contracts to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of operational delivery as well as contract administration. This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills.



Responsibilities:



- Ensure excellent H&S culture. In depth knowledge of CDM is essential.



- Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial negotiation through delivery to contract closeout, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.



- Review and analyse gas contracts and NEC contracts to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.



- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations teams, to ensure contracts align with business objectives and meet regulatory requirements.

- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favourable outcomes for the company.



- Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing any issues or disputes that may arise.



- Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding operational and contract management processes and procedures.



- Conduct regular operational and contract audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and identify areas for improvement.



- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.



Requirements:



- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, business administration, or a related field.



- Extensive experience within contract management, specifically in the gas industry and with NEC contracts.



- In-depth knowledge of gas contracts, including pricing structures, delivery terms, and regulatory requirements.



- Strong understanding of the NEC contract framework and its application in engineering and construction projects.



- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.



- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.



- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite.



- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.



- Professional certifications in contract management (such as CPCM or CCM) are preferred but not required
