Contracts Manager - Groundworks Sub-Contractor
Location: Derby, with travel to sites (within 1.5 hours)
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Company Car + Health Insurance + Benefits

Join a growing, family-run groundworks contractor based in Derby. Established in 2019, this company has seen impressive year-on-year growth with a turnover of £3 million, projected to reach £4 million next year. They specialise in delivering groundwork packages across a variety of sectors, including prisons and care homes, working with a number of Tier 1 contractors.
The Role:
As a Contracts Manager, you will oversee 3 to 4 sites at any one time, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. You will be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, and for visiting sites (all located within 1.5 hours from the Derby office) on a regular basis. You will be expected to be in the office for an internal meeting once a week also.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee multiple construction sites
Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site teams
Manage up and down - effectively communicate with senior leadership while managing site teams and relationships with contractors
Ensure smooth project delivery in line with drawings and specifications
Attend weekly office meetings and site visits
Maintain attention to detail and process adherenceRequirements:
Tier 1 contractor experience is essential (either working with or for)
Groundworks experience is not essential
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to site teams
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
A proven track record in managing construction projects
