Home, Office & Site Based (Sites mainly within the M25)

You will be a pivotal part of a successful team in this industry leading specialist Landscaping company, and as Contracts Manager you have a central role in the creation of award-winning Podium Landscapes and roof gardens. The Job:



Most importantly you will have experience liaising with Tier 1 Contractors and negotiating their impositions and demands to the benefit of the company. You will usually be in the office for 1 or 2 days per week and will be either on site or working from home for the rest of the time. You will have ownership of about 4 active sites, each with a team of 3 or 4 including a highly experienced supervisor. Your projects will include Podium Roof Landscapes, Paving and Planters and you will have responsibility for the day-to-day activities, ensuring that they are completed on time, on budget and to specification.



* Working with the Division Director to create the overall Regional Construction Program



* Ensuring that your projects are on schedule within the master program



* Monitoring and updating project operations and communicating any potential delays



* Meeting with Tier 1 Contractor Clients on a regular basis as the “the face of the company” and negotiating their setbacks and delays to the benefit of the company.



* Assist the commercial team in evaluating and claiming for variations and delays



* Ensuring that all project sites comply with all aspects of the current health and safety regulations



* Leading the supervisors in presenting toolbox talks



* Ensuring that sites are managed in a clean, safe and tidy manner



* Checking timesheets and attendance and reporting variations



* Working with the Procurement team in sourcing materials, negotiating prices and placing orders



* Managing the quality of the project delivery to maintain the reputation of the Company



* Assisting in the preparation of tender documentation; cost analyses; early-stage budgets; detailed cost plans; bills of quantities and procurement plans



The Person:



You will have several years’ experience of Hard Landscaping or minor Civils’ work and be working as a Contracts Manager. You will be proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and planting diagrams.
