Infinigen Renewables is a Puerto Rico based, ArcLight Capital backed platform, focused on utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) solar projects. The platform includes a dedicated operating and asset management team positioned to develop, build and operate renewable opportunities in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
We are looking for a Contract & Procurement Manager to join our growing team of professionals. The Contract & Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the procurement and contracting process for multiple large-scale, complex energy projects, particularly in solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and wind projects. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of procurement and EPC contracts, from preparing RFPs to executing contracts, coordinating vendors, and ensuring all deliverables align with project requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages the entire procurement and contracting scope of multiple, large complex projects including directing and coordinating procurement and EPC contracts on the project.
- Prepares the procurement RFP’s, negotiates the contracts, and manages the contracts for the multiple projects.
- Takes input from the VP Development, VP Construction, VP Technical Engineering, Project Engineer, and Offtake Requirements, compiles RFP’s for bidders, manages the bidding process, prepares a bid tab for team evaluation, coordinates final selection, negotiates contract terms & conditions in parallel, executes contracts, manages and expedites vendors & contractors, negotiates any change orders.
- Contact vendors and obtain pricing for modules, invertors, racking systems, transformers, BESS, and balance of plant equipment
- Compile vendor bids into a bid comparison spreadsheet with technical and commercial comparisons
- Responsible for all deliverables of the work produced to complete contract terms and conditions which may include a procurement plan, procurement schedule, budget, document controls, reporting, prime contract flow downs, and manpower staffing.
- Expedites vendor submittals and coordinates deliverables with Engineering and Construction.
- Coordinates weekly vendor meetings
- Reviews and distributes vendor weekly and monthly updates, including updates into the overall project schedule.
- Coordinates and implements factory source inspection as required.
- Coordinates shipping, including US Flag vessel shipping (if appropriate)
- Oversees systems, equipment and people resources.
- Establishes project procurement procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and established project requirements.
- Identifies problems and coordinates with the project team to correct.
- Proactively manages contract change.
- Maintains and promotes a focus on companies end product whether procurement, engineering, fabrication or construction related.
- Ensures effective communications among procurement disciplines, client, project team, and suppliers.
- Ensures effective management of procurement procedures as established in company policies.
- Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, reporting, and budget control of the project contracts.
- Reviews work with clients, management, and project leads.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Prior experience with solar, battery and wind energy projects
- Prior experience with procurement purchase orders for modules, inverters, BESS.
- Prior experience with contracting EPC contractors.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain & Operations Mgmt., Construction Mgmt., or a related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience contracting in energy sector, with minimum 2 years of experience in battery energy storage systems (BESS)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
