Are you skilled in sales, engineering and procurement? DMC is seeking a Control Panel Sales & Procurement Engineer to drive business growth, manage key accounts and collaborate with our procurement team. This role involves generating quotes, handling purchasing and inventory management of hardware, responding to sales inquiries, and maintaining external relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Generate estimates, quotes, and proposals for control panel design and assembly
  • Handle purchasing of hardware, tracking orders, receiving, and coordinating returns
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of orders
  • Maintain procurement records and documentation
  • Respond to incoming sales inquiries and assist with sales prospecting activities
  • Leverage a CRM to effectively manage and take full ownership of customer relationships
  • Qualify incoming leads and opportunities
  • Generate sales and marketing assets
  • Provide excellent full cycle customer service
  • Collaborate with sales engineers on larger leads
  • Pass projects on to engineering and assembly teams
  • Provide sales and customer service feedback to management and sales engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in technical sales & industrial industries (or related field)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.4
  • Demonstrated success in account management
  • Working knowledge of the NEC and NFPA 70 standards.
  • Working knowledge of electrical bid specifications
  • Experience with procurement or purchase handling
  • Experience with control cabinets, enclosures or panels
  • Strong Business acumen paired with robust negotiation and influencing abilities
  • Proven success working in a customer facing role
  • Effective and engaging communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50%

Compensation:
Compensation is based on experience, industry and location standards.

  • $70,000 - $110,000 yearly
