Your Mission as a Control Room Operator As a Control Room Operator, your primary mission is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our plant systems. You will play a critical role in monitoring, controlling, and optimizing production processes to meet company objectives and production targets. You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Control Room Operator Operate the DCS (Distributed Control System) for plant startup and shutdown operations. Monitor and control process parameters such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and levels through displays, graphics, and trend logs. Communicate with field operators to adjust parameters as needed. Report any parameter abnormalities and process deviations to Shift Supervisors immediately. Make minor plant adjustments and report serious faults to the Supervisor, implementing approved actions and emergency responses. Take corrective actions during emergency situations to ensure personnel safety and protect plant equipment and production. Monitor and control the usage of raw materials, chemicals, and plant utilities to optimal levels. Prepare and assist in the preparation of operational reports as requested by Production Supervisors or Team Leaders. Ensure safe shutdown, isolation, and blowdown of the plant during emergencies. Assist in identifying and implementing remedial measures for operational issues. Investigate faults and coordinate with concerned departments for remedial actions. Adhere to the company’s HSE policy, standards, and approved operating procedures. Perform additional duties such as training new recruits, preparing reports, and supporting plant shutdown and startup procedures. Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Control Room Operator Full-time Diploma in Chemical Engineering or any related degree. Extensive experience in the Oil Gas or Petrochemical industry, preferably with current experience. Strong understanding of plant operations, process controls, and emergency response procedures. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations. Proficient in using DCS and other control systems. Commitment to safety and adherence to HSE standards. Additional Information Working Days Hours: Rotation (6x3). Location: Jalu - Libya.
