Our search firm has been chosen to recruit for a direct hire Controls Engineer opportunity.

Join an experienced team of professionals with an average of 15+ years in the packaging automation industry.  They have the capability to provide customers with complete packaging line solutions.  Starting with the conveyance of raw materials to loading trucks by Laser Guided Vehicles. 

Work with a wide range of customers (from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies) and applications (from shingles to gummi bears).  

• Plant layout, design and engineering
• Custom designed machine/automation solutions
• Turn-key project integration
• Electrical panel and controls engineering

Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics, BOM and PLC/HMI programs for various projects
• Assist with all aspects of finishing a system prior to shipping including field wiring, mounting sensors, and assisting with mechanical troubleshooting
• Install new systems and support existing systems (20% travel)
• Assist customers and troubleshoot as necessary
• Work with a great management team

Desired Background

Allen Bradley PLC experience. 

Fanuc programming, Solidworks, and/or Autocad Electrical would be a plus.

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL 

Salary to $130k

Travel: 20%
