Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionFS-Elliott is looking to add a Controls Engineer to join our growing team in our Export, PA headquarters. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the electrical design, programming, and implementation of control systems for our compressor packages. As a Controls Engineer, you will lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our control systems.
Key Responsibilities• Execute controls engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, computer programs and criteria, which may involve independent action and decision.
• Provide technical support to Production and Field Service teams to assist in resolving technical matters.
• Train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques
• Collaborate with other departments to insure prompt and effective problem-solving of reported problems.
• Develop and conduct assigned field & shop performance tests.
• Prepare and reviews assigned write-ups for technical manuals.
• Document design modifications, reviews and approves detailed P&ID, electrical component and schematic drawings.
• Prepare Bulletins or Technical Memorandums on assigned subjects.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience•Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Technology; or equivalent combination of experience and education to perform the role. •Knowledge of key mechanical components, instrumentation and electrical components in the rotary and reciprocating industries• Knowledge of the function and responses of key mechanical and electrical components to properly sustain operation of the compressor under multiple defined conditions and specifications.
• Capable of applying compressor system operational knowledge to define and program the control system logic to sustain operation of the compressor under a multiple defined conditions and specifications.
• Capable of designing and implementing processes
• Documentation and configuration control systems experience
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams through collaboration and communication; interpersonal savvy
• Excellent problem solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills
• High level of analytical ability
• Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to meet deadlines
• Versatility, flexibility, the ability to work with changing priorities
• Basic knowledge with (RSLogix 5000), Factory Talk View ME & Siemens S7 / Siemens Portal
• Proficient experience with Office 365 software
