Position Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate mechanical design drawings into electrical system specifications, ensuring that all control systems meet customer and project requirements.
• Utilize AUTOCAD software to create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for automation projects
• Research supplier products for assembly components
• Help establish new and maintain existing standards
• Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications
• Check the quality of assembler's and technician's work and respond to inquiries during assembly
• Understand client requirements for GUI/communication interface, and networking, and create specifications based on these requirements
• Help Train/Orient/Bring Up to Speed new employees
• Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet customer project commitments
• Quality – Ensure standards are maintained in a highly regulated, process-driven environment

Education and Experience

• BS degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree )
• 4+ years of experience with conveyors in the automation industry
• Proficient in AUTOCAD for drafting electrical schematics and control panel layouts
• Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
