Controls System Specialist

Job Purpose:

Provide service and technical support for new and existing customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide field services including programming, commissioning and training to complete HVAC controls installations
  • Program controllers and commission control systems
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications and sequence of operations
  • Maintain a productivity level of 65%, or better - time must be tied to a specific job or work order as opposed to overhead
  • Supervise subcontractors on job sites
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers
  • Manage customer relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Assist with maintaining project schedule
  • Control project costs by limiting field expenses
  • Maintain Subject Matter Expert status on industry and control equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain regular, punctual and reliable attendance and availability

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience with HVAC Commercial and Mechanical Systems
  • 3 years experience with Control Systems
  • Proficient computers skills with MS Office
  • Applicable knowledge and experience with computer networks, programming microprocessors and role specific tools to include, but not limited to: Voltage and Amp Meters, Temperature Meters, Manifold, Service Tool 5, Field Assist, STT, BBMD, Putty, Snap and View Builder
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Possess a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
  • Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy

Travel:

  • 80% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry related conferences and training requiring some extended stay
