About the Role: Were on the hunt for a dynamic Systems Software Engineer II and III to join the hive on behalf of our clients. In this role, you'll take ownership of database programming, custom graphics development, and the installation of programming into Building Management Systems. If you're passionate about building automation systems and have a proven track record of success in system software engineering, we want to meet you!

Your Mission:

  • System Development:
    • Perform as a lead Systems Software Engineer in the development of lower and mid-level control systems databases and programs.
    • Support the execution of initial systems point-to-point commissioning activities.
    • Troubleshoot local and wide area network issues as they arise.
  • Software Testing:
    • Utilize computer hardware and software to support and/or execute the pre-functional testing of the system software code in relationship to the design sequence of operations.
    • Participate and support final systems functional testing relative to standard, 3rd party, LEED, and Title 24 testing as required.
  • Field Coordination and Documentation:
    • Maintain a lead role in the field coordination of installing subcontractors when a Project Engineer is not assigned to the project.
    • Document all field as-built conditions, as well as commissioning process documents.
  • Training and Support:
    • Participate and lead all end-user/customer system training requirements on assigned projects.
    • Assist Design Engineers with the validation of sequence of operations development against design-build and/or contract requirements.

  • Control Systems Development:
    • Proficient in developing lower and mid-level control systems databases and programs.
  • Network Troubleshooting:
    • Skilled in troubleshooting local and wide area network issues.
  • Field Coordination and Documentation:
    • Expertise in field coordination and documenting as-built conditions and commissioning process documents.
  • Training and Customer Support:
    • Ability to provide comprehensive training and support to end-users and customers.

What You Bring:

  • Associates degree in a technical field or 2-5 years of related work experience in building automation systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering .
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and any technical school training.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Windows, File Structure.
  • Basic TCP/IP network structure and web navigation skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work in a high-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet schedules.
  • Ability to operate independently and autonomously and take ownership of all assigned tasks.
  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactivity and initiative.
