Fairchild Imaging, headquartered in San Jose, California is a specialty image sensor design and manufacturing company with deep experience in developing leading edge performance CMOS image sensors. Our portfolio of image sensors can be found in many high-performance imaging applications like space exploration, medical x-ray, sciences, quantum computing, machine vision, low light, and 360 situational awareness.

We are looking for a Cost Accountant/Project Analyst who can apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, and income. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. Assists in preparation of balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. Analyzes financial performance, including comparison of actual results against planned results.

Job Duties include:

• Audits cycle counts
• Performs monthly book to floor/floor to book audits on site and off site
• Edits and posts inventory transactions to the general ledger
• Utilizes ERP system and prepares inventory analysis and status reports
• Monitors and closes production work orders
• Prepares journal entries to the general ledger
• Prepares and posts cost transfers to appropriate projects
• Manages accounting periods
• Maintains project inventory
• Prepares pricing analysis for various standard products
• Supports planning Bills of Material and Inventory Control
• As required, cross functional backup duties throughout Accounting department
• Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations and monthly reports.
• Maintain COSA processes requirements.
• Assist in development of Annual Operating Financial plan and Quarterly Forecasts
• Product Cost monitoring and reporting to management
• Unit Product Cost analysis versus Standards
• Other Special Project support to the CFO and Accounting Manager as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent organization skills required
• Must be detail-oriented, attention to accuracy
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required
• Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Must be able to analyze large amounts of data from various sources and organize the data by creating and updating complex spreadsheets (Excel). Will utilize this data and analysis to recommend solutions, drive decisions, create reports and evaluate operational needs.
• Ability to perform non-routine specialized assignments utilizing solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and solid analytical skills.
• Ability to follow standard company policies, procedures and work instructions and design improvements to existing financial account internal control processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, NetSuite

  Education: BS in a related field

  Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience

  Job Location: San Jose, CA (This role is Hybrid and will require onsite presence 2-3 days per week)

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $135,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
