Job Title: Cost Manager / Commercial Manager
Location: Portsmouth / Southampton area, with occasional travel to London
Working Pattern: 3 days per week based on site
Overview: We’re looking for a driven and capable Cost Manager or Commercial Manager to join a high-performing team working on major capital infrastructure projects. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a client-facing role and is passionate about delivering commercial excellence across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- Degree qualified, preferably within a construction-related discipline
- MRICS but not essential (support available for achieving chartership)
- Solid experience across both pre- and post-contract phases
- Prior experience within a consultancy environment is strongly desirable
- Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts
- Utility experience is ideal, but strong experience on major capital infrastructure projects or programmes will also be considered
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Confident working independently with minimal supervision
- Commercially aware with the ability to understand and anticipate market trends
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service
- Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to inspire and lead others
