Position SummaryThe CPQ and Engineering Tools specialist will report to the EMEA Process Improvement Manager within the Technology Application Engineering and Market Development function. He will develop new product configurators and work more generically on new tools definition, development, and maintenance in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Sales and Application Engineering Teams. This includes current applications, mainly Configure One (C1), Solution Designer, PowerBi, Oracle Sales Cloud (OSC) and Oracle EBS and integrations among them, and any future applications supporting the Opportunity to Order processes. As a key team player, your responsibilities include: Contribute to technical design, prototyping and developing products or solutions or tools in the current opportunity to order process. Participate in activities to validate\test and release products or Solutions directly developed in any tools under the Responsibility or developed by other functions but with an impact on products. Support the day-to-day administrative functions pertaining to the sales applications, especially CPQ software and integrations among them, with a special focus on Price revisions and the changes required to permit a price revision to be successfully implemented by the pricing team. Work in close collaboration with the offering teams to define the specifications for new product configurators and ensuring the integration within IT ecosystem; Ensure solution is scalable and meets overall business requirements, translate business requirements into technical specifications and identify/document functional gaps. Participate in solution architecture reviews with project teams prior to design and development activities. Keep on top of tracking assigned tasks/deliverables, risks & issues, and report to Management as needed. Monitor and drive issues to resolution. In coordination with Application Engineers develop new tools (web based or other) to automate their activities Facilitation of, and direct involvement with content creation and data management enabling customers, partners, and internal / external stakeholders as appropriate to grow revenue and profitability. Effective understanding, leverage, and guidance of the Configure-Price-Quote, ERP and other relevant tool, the configuration pricing logic, the Price approval process. Supporting creation of various KPIs using PowerBi/Smartsheet tools for reporting and ad hoc engagement in improvement of other processes within the AE community What makes you successful? Bring your passion and expertise with: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Systems Fluent in English (spoken and written) Work experience in an international environment is a plus Experience with PL SQL and or MS SQL is required. Previous experience with HTML, Java and JavaScript is preferred. Experience with web service development (REST & SOAP) working with API and Integration frameworks is preferred. Previous experience with Configure, Price, Quote tools is preferred (experience with Configure One (C1) and Oracle CPQ cloud would be a great advantage) Previous experience with structured web application tools with several users Experience with Quote-to-order applications is preferred. Excellent practical use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint is preferred. Experience with Smartsheet is preferred. Required to travel across EMEA for the performance of required duties. The estimated travel amount will be up to 10% .
