Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Crane Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of cranes, including the management and maintenance of Phase 3 controls, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. The Crane Technician will work closely with other maintenance personnel and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance and Repairs:

   • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cranes, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, mechanical components, and Phase 3 control systems.
   • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with cranes and associated equipment, specifically focusing on control systems and software.
   • Perform necessary repairs and replacements of parts to ensure optimal operation.

2. Phase 3 Controls Management:

   • Monitor and maintain Phase 3 control systems, ensuring proper function and integration with crane operations.
   • Configure and adjust parameters within Phase 3 controls to optimize crane performance and safety.
   • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement updates or modifications to control systems as needed.

3. Safety Inspections:

   • Carry out regular safety inspections to comply with regulatory standards and company policies, specifically focusing on the functionality and safety of control systems.
   • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports detailing inspection results and required repairs.

4. Installation and Setup:

   • Assist in the installation and setup of new cranes, including integrating Phase 3 controls, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to specifications.
   • Work with electrical engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to crane controls.

5. Documentation:

   • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs conducted, and modifications made to crane systems and Phase 3 controls.
   • Prepare reports for management regarding maintenance status, efficiency, and control system performance.

6. Team Collaboration:

   • Work closely with other technicians, operators, and management to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
   • Provide training and support to junior technicians in the maintenance of Phase 3 controls.

7. Emergency Response:

   • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures, troubleshooting issues to restore service quickly, focusing on control systems and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in crane maintenance, electrical systems, or related field .
• Proven experience as a Crane Technician or in a similar role involving crane maintenance, repair, and control systems management.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems used in crane operation, along with expertise in Phase 3 control systems.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver's license and relevant certifications (e.g., NCCCO, API) may be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., outdoors, at heights).
• Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, and kneeling may be required.
