Overview:
A major US telecom provider is seeking Critical Facilities Engineering Planner to support the maintenance and expansion of its critical infrastructure. In this role, you will manage key equipment to ensure the operational efficiency of fiber/optical facilities.
We are looking for individuals with a strong background in telecom infrastructure, including power systems, generators, HVAC, and battery management. This is a fantastic opportunity for engineers experienced in building and maintaining critical infrastructure, with a focus on cost reduction and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, plan and maintain critical infrastructure, including power systems, generators, HVAC units, and battery systems.
- Ensure infrastructure performance meets or exceeds operational requirements for efficiency and reliability.
- Oversee upgrades, repairs, and replacements of critical equipment, including battery swaps and power management systems.
- Collaborate with telecom teams to ensure optimal functioning of optical/fiber equipment.
- Provide technical oversight and ensure all facilities comply with relevant safety and operational standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in telecom, optical, or fiber infrastructure.
- Proven track record managing critical infrastructure in data centers, telecommunications facilities, or similar environments.
- Expertise with power systems, generators, HVAC, and battery management.
- Strong understanding of operational efficiency, cost management, and infrastructure reliability.
