C&SP Engineering Manager

Role Title: C&SP Engineering Manager Mission: As a key member of our Global Engineering, Centre of Excellence (COE) management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership of our Engineering Delivery team, providing Design, Software & Graphics deliverables to both country project teams & our approved Systems Integrators A high degree of collaboration, proactivity & agility are key attributes for the role, to ensure we successfully deliver the highest levels of quality & customer satisfaction, in what is a very fast paced & dynamic environment The role needs to operate on a truly international basis, working with global projects & teams from multiple countries – excellent communication skills & high levels of stake holder management will be required A core requirement for the role will be to have demonstrable experience in the successful delivery of engineering projects of a relevant automation discipline, to agreed deadlines & priorities Key responsabilities: · Provide direction and leadership to the Engineering Delivery team, ensuring the ongoing development of the team’s skills/competences and that resource levels are optimized to meet the company’s objectives. · Accountable for the successful delivery of projects within assigned area of responsibility, ensuring we achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction resulting in business growth in our targeted areas. · Delivery of financial performance for all projects, ensuring forecasted costs to complete are within targeted budgets, whilst identifying efficiency improvements & cost reductions to incorporate into future projects · Maximise use of off-shore Engineering Centres, to leverage cost reduction & pass on savings to increase growth in C&SP orders · Ensure a high degree of collaboration & teamwork is established between Engineering Delivery & Country Project teams to maximise success of overall customer program · Establish excellence in all areas of the Engineering Delivery team deliverables, ensuring we achieve highest level of quality, driving a zero defects approach in all aspects of what we do · Drive efficiency & standardisation within the Engineering Delivery team, resulting in shorter delivery times, cost reduction, with repeatable quality on all COE activities · Promote a culture of lessons learned to drive systematic & sustainable improvements to the Engineering Delivery of C&SP Projects · Ensure monthly reporting and forecasting is carried out in an accurate and timely manner. · Ensure that the company’s policies & procedures are implemented & routinely assessed to ensure all levels of quality & efficiency are subject to ongoing improvement · Manages budget and assets for the assigned areas Skills and attributes: The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated & have a Systems engineering background (BMS/EMS preferably), ideally with relevant experience from the Data Centre market A core requirement for the role will be to have demonstrable experience in Operational Leadership of Project Management activities for engineering &/or technical biased projects, within the Construction environment. Qualifications & Experience Ideally qualified to degree level in relevant engineering discipline, however candidates with diploma level qualifications & demonstrable experience in an applicable Automation Engineering role are also welcome Solid Years Project Management experience, delivering greenfield projects in Data Centre or similar segments At Schneider Electric, Diversity & Inclusion is at the heart of our organisation, it's an integral part of our history, culture, and identity.
