The Construction Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects while maintaining high-quality standards, adherence to timelines and budgets, and a strong focus on safety and operational excellence. This leader will guide and empower a team of professionals, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align construction activities with the company’s growth objectives and operational goals.
- Manage and monitor project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Recruit, train, and mentor construction teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders, negotiating contracts and ensuring performance meets project requirements.
- Enforce rigorous safety protocols across all job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align construction priorities with business objectives and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and milestones.
- Drive innovation and efficiency by leveraging technology and best practices to optimize project workflows and enhance operational performance.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects.
- Expertise in resource planning, budget management, and process improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor teams and foster collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in tools like Outlook and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass thorough background and drug screenings.
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Experience with cabling or related industries and prior experience with Charter is a plus.
