48 to 72 hours (24-hour continuous operation)

Scope of Work (SoW):

The FPSO is being berthed in Denmark, and the operation involves the disconnection of tow lines, the connection of harbor tug lines, the connection of MARS mooring lines, and the demobilization of equipment. This is a critical role requiring precision and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance and Inspection:

  • Conduct pre-operation checks on cutting equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain and inspect all cutting tools, ensuring readiness and functionality throughout the operation.

Cutting Operations:

  • Execute precise and safe cutting of heavy-duty mooring lines or chains as required.
  • Collaborate with riggers and other deck crew members for the disconnection of tow lines and connection of harbor tug lines.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Act promptly in emergency scenarios to cut mooring lines or chains to prevent potential hazards or damage to the FPSO.
  • Ensure readiness for rapid response in case of adverse conditions or unexpected events.

Demobilization:

  • Assist in the packing and securing of deck equipment into 3, 20ft Open Top (OT) containers for transport.
  • Ensure all equipment, especially cutting tools, is safely and properly packed.

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standards to protect yourself and the team during cutting operations.
  • Participate in safety briefings and comply with industry regulations regarding cutting and handling of mooring lines.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document all cutting operations, including the reasons for cutting, tools used, and any issues encountered.
  • Report to the Deck Crew Supervisor with a summary of activities and equipment condition post-operation.

Team Coordination:

  • Work closely with the riggers and the electrician/mechanic to ensure seamless coordination during the operation.
  • Communicate effectively with the Deck Crew Supervisor to ensure alignment with the overall project plan.

Interested candidates should submit their resume and relevant certifications (BOSIET, HUET and MFC) by July 8th. 

Qualification

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cutter Personnel or similar role in offshore operations, preferably with FPSO or other large maritime structures.
  • Skills: Proficiency in the use of hydraulic cutters, explosive cutting tools, and other heavy-duty cutting equipment.
  • Certifications: Relevant safety and equipment operation certifications (e.g., offshore safety, first aid).
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to work in challenging offshore conditions, with good physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy equipment.
  • Availability: Must be available for the entire operational window from 23 July to 1 August
