Cyber Security Analyst (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

This role will be a part of the Cyber Security Team that evaluates and implements solutions and applications for the enterprise. This role will entail hands-on, to monitor network security systems and events, as well as assist with planning and implementation of security solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor Network Traffic to identify and respond to security incidents in real-time.
• Investigate Security Breaches: Analyze and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
• Write detailed reports on security incidents and breaches.
• Keep up with the latest IT security trends and news.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Palo Alto Firewall and SIEM products.
• Windows Defender or Cloud Defender.
• Knowledge of information security concepts (NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks, PCI, CIS).
• Securing networks, servers, desktops, and other systems, including administration of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus, and other security applications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Visio and O365.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with end users.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• One or more of these IT certifications: CompTIA CYSA+, CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, MCTS or equivalent certifications .
• 3 years of experience in Information Security role network administration on a medium-sized network of servers using current technologies.
  
  Additional Skills :
• Windows Server OS, with Active Directory and associated server applications.
• Experience with KNOWBE4 products/solutions.
• Understanding of SSL and IPsec VPN technology.
• Government Agency or Water Utility experience.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual workstation, using telephone and computer

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
• This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
