Key Responsibilities:

Apply a broad understanding of how to organize teams to build a shared understanding of complex challenges.

Facilitate collective problem-solving, analysis, and the implementation of new solutions and best practices.

Develop exercise plans and directives through the application of operational art and operational design.

Utilize the Joint Planning Process (JPP) through the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) to enhance training and exercise planning.

Provide input for briefings, transition concepts to execution, and coordinate joint operational planning in support of training and exercises.

Assess shortfalls, prioritize and validate requirements, and modify planning efforts based on the evolving cyberspace environment.

Monitor and review strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions for education and training from higher headquarters.

Develop realistic exercise materials that enhance organizational mission performance through data analysis.

Participate in response cells replicating staff processes and products of the Joint Staff and Combatant Command Headquarters.
Basic Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience with JPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats.

5+ years of experience as a planner in military, government, or defense environments.

Experience in designing, planning, organizing, and executing Combatant Command or Service-Component levelexercises (e.g., Command Post Exercises, Staff Exercises, or Field Training Exercises).

Active TS/SCI clearance with a willingness to take a polygraph exam.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Additional Qualifications:

Experience briefing and delivering training to senior military and civilian leaders.

Experience with exercise planning at the Service Component or Combatant Command level.

Familiarity with project management processes and principles.

Knowledge of the Joint Training Program (JTP) and JELC doctrine and processes.

Advanced Service Planner Certification (e.g., SAMS, SAASS, JAWS).
