JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate field safety conditions through audit/monitoring, advise company management on findings.
  • Report and assist in the control of environmental hazards as mandated.
  • Maintain current MSDS of company hazardous chemicals. Communicate HAZCOM information to field staff as mandated.
  • Review and advise Management of worker credentials/certifications.
  • Maintain, control, inventory IDLH PPE and equipment.
  • Train field workers (potential operators) to qualify for licensing.
  • Administer field tests to employees (i.e. extend-a-boom fork truck aerial work platform).
  • Ensure that regulated tools and equipment are currently inspected and in good order.
  • Train employees on compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor field conditions to inform management of field safety performance.
  • Document and report to management on supervisor and worker compliance.
  • Implement and monitor emergency action plans.
  • Investigate accidents and prepare accident reports.
  • Advise supervision of site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Work as a liaison with client representatives, site safety teams, company personnel to achieve site and project safety goals.

SKILLS /PERSONAL TRAITS

  • A good understanding of general safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of and basic proficiency with MS office products (Excel, Project, Word, Etc.).
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to get along well with co-workers and management and work together with other employees as part of a group.
  • Ability to accurately communicate ideas, instructions, questions, problems, solutions.
  • Ability to accurately receive and understand ideas, instructions, questions, problems, solutions.
  • Understanding of the nature and causes of accidents, appreciative of the effects and seriousness of accidents.
  • Alert and attentive for possible hazards.
  • Take necessary actions to prevent accidents - is not accident-prone and does not have a history of chronic unsafe behavior.

REQUIREMENTS

  • OSHA 30 - REQUIRED
  • 2 Years of field and install experience
  • Bi-Lingual - ENGLISH AND SPANISH
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Ability to travel and work out of town as needed for days, even weeks at a time
  • Ability to work day shift or night shift when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
