Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer – Data Modeling position for our client in Phoenix, AZ.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 7 months
Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and interpret business requirements.
- Create and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models to align with business needs.
- Develop data flow diagrams and business process diagrams to support data architecture.
- Ensure data models align with relational, dimensional, and NoSQL database principles.
- Work closely with ETL developers to implement data models within data warehousing environments.
- Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) and data usage patterns.
- Support data governance, data quality, and metadata management initiatives.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
- Experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or similar.
- Knowledge of various data models, including conceptual, relational, dimensional, and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Ability to translate business needs into effective data models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, or a related field.
- Experience working in an enterprise data environment with large-scale databases.
- Previous experience collaborating with business analysts and data engineers.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field .
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
