Operating in the Management Consulting industry, our headquarters is located in Chennai, Tamilnadu. Job Overview We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, mid-level position that requires 4 to 6 years of experience. This role is available in multiple locations including Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, and Delhi. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SQL, ETL, and Big Data Technologies as mandatory skills, along with strong capabilities in Python and other relevant technologies. Required Skillset: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and BQ. Strong ability to design, develop, test and maintain ETL solutions in Google Cloud Platform. Especially in BigQuery Strong knowledge in writing and interpreting complex SQL queries Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline architectures Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Experience in Hadoop, Spark / Hive, data proc, Python and scheduling - UC4 is a plus Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain near real-time data processing pipelines using Google BigQuery and other GCP services. Develop, optimize, and manage SQL-based ETL processes to ensure efficient data ingestion and transformation. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality data solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth operation and data accuracy. Implement data validation, quality checks, and governance frameworks to ensure data consistency and integrity. Develop and maintain technical documentation for data processes, pipelines, and system architecture. Identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks in data processing and SQL queries. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and efficient data architectures. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new features in Google BigQuery and other GCP data tools.
