As a Technical lead in the CDC team, the candidate should manage the CDC process and ensure the data availability and quality for Optum Rx Data Estate teams. Primary Responsibilities: Managing the existing CDC subscriptions for any maintenance activities, changes in source table definitions, ensuring the data availability and quality for Optum Rx Data Estate teamsMonitoring the CDC subscriptions using management console, telemetry (alerts) and addressing CDC job failures, latencyCommunication around CDC application maintenance activities to all stakeholders and coordinating the effort around by working with source and consumer teamsOn-boarding new tables requested for CDC to new/existing subscriptionsMaintaining the CDC infrastructure and planning for upgradesContinuous improvement to existing CDC application eco-system by leveraging new methods and technologiesComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soRequired Qualifications: Engineering Degree in computer science or equivalent8+ years of IT experience5+ years of experience with change data capture (CDC) technology like IBM Infosphere Data Replication (IIDR) for real-time data replication, Qlik, Debezium, Apachek KafkaExperience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and kafka connect for data integrationGood knowledge in Azure, ADF or similar cloud-based orchestration toolsProven ability to provide level 3 support for unresolved issues and engaging vendors when necessaryProven ability to develop, maintain, and optimize large scale data pipeline on Databricks for both batch and real-time data processingFlexible for on call support during the rotational cycle for urgent incidentsFlexible to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays and per the schedule Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data transformations, and datalake architecturesExperience with iSeries Database At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
