Data Exchange Application Engineer

The Mechanical Engineering team is providing design tools and processes for the product development related to powertrain and vehicle electrification. Our service covers the distribution and support for the CAD applications and the design methods, together with secure platforms for the data exchange with customers and suppliers. The role will be supporting the Mechanical Engineering team with focus on data exchange. In addition to the tool and administration support, the position holder will contribute to the exchange of design data between different CAD systems according to customer standards and quality recommendations. Responsibilities/Main Tasks: - Administration and maintenance of the related systems and applications ( configuration and upgrades of systems, user rights administration, system performance monitoring, change management) - Administration of AWS/Azure cloud accounts: server setup, maintenance, security and performance tracking - Improvement of automated CAD exchange processes - Participation in IT projects in collaboration with the Business Units to optimize services, processes and tools - Configuration and adaption of existing and new tool interfaces - Support of users in terms of operation and incidents handling Qualifications: - (University) degree in mechanical engineering, computer science or similar - Knowledge about CAD applications desired - Programming knowledge desired, Python preferred - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with strong customer focus - Excellent business communication skills in English language - Independent working style and team-oriented Working Time: Full time Business Unit: Engineering Applications Department: IT EA HW EE
