The global Data Science capability at Sia Partners consists of more than 200 Data Scientists in the Center of excellence located in our hubs across Europe, North America, and Asia. The team in London will predominantly support projects across a diverse cross-section of business sectors including Healthcare, Banking, Energy, Defence, Technology, and others.
To support its development, Sia Partners is recruiting graduate data scientists, in the final stages of their studies. They will be responsible for working in synergy with our various practices to take on projects, and tasks requiring the implementation of complex models to assist our clients with their problems.
You might find yourself working in oneor more of the following disciplines to help our clients achieve their aims:
- Data analysis : Identify business issues by extracting, interpreting, and explaining insights from data.
- Machine/Deep learning and statistics: Development of explanatory and predictive models for decision support through the development of algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosis, etc.
- Operational research: Assistance in the design and implementation of constrained optimisation solutions and simulation models.
- Big Data: Algorithmic knowledge for the processing of large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

As a Consultant, you will be responsible for…
- Delivering high quality work with some oversight.
- Ensuring that the deep insights generated from advanced analytics translate into business impact.
- Supporting the delivery of projects, potentially working across several key clients in the UK and Ireland and, if required, supporting overseas engagements.
- Identifying and referring opportunities on projects through industry news awareness, networking and initiative.
- Contributing to proposal development.
- Developing an understanding of what the business does and the services your practice offers.
- Supporting the development of Sia Partners assetsincluding methodology, tools, templates, guidelines, and leading initiatives to continuously improve and integrate them with other Sia Partners assets across the Practice.
- Supporting the development of blogs and articles.

Qualifications
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- Curious and creative thinkers with a ‘can-do’ attitude;
- Enthusiasm for applying Data-driven solutions to business problems.
- Willingness to take on responsibility on high-value projects with dynamic structures.
- Excellence in statistics and quantitative analysis (theoretical and practical knowledge, intuition, ability to understand models and apply them).
- Programming skills in Python and/or R. A solid foundation in other scripting or compiled languages may be suitable
- The ability to adapt rapidly, and work on a range of different business areas within a challenging environment and keeping to tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English. Additional languages are nice to have.
- The right to work in the Ireland;
- To be on course for, or have achieved at least a 2:1 degree in any discipline (Undergraduate or Masters);
- Equivalent degrees will be considered from top-tier foreign educational institution
